The gathering of the church is not only a command (Hebrews 10:24-25), but we look forward to it as the high point of our week! Because of this, we strive to center our gatherings around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s Word. Each week we:

Sing the Bible - We sing songs that are filled with biblical truths.

Pray the Bible - We give time to praying prayers that are soaked with Scripture.

Read the Bible - Like Paul commanded Timothy, we devote ourselves to the public reading of God’s Word.

Preach the Bible - Central to our gatherings is the expositional proclaiming of the Bible.

See the Bible - Christ has given us the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper to celebrate as visible pictures of the Gospel.

  • The style of dress at LBC encompasses a wide range. You’ll find everything from dress shirts and pants to jeans and tennis shoes.

  • Our service typically lasts around an hour or so. We begin at 10:30 AM and conclude around 11:30-11:40.

  • We sing songs that are filled with sound doctrine. Some songs are older, and some are newer. But they are all designed to point our hearts and minds toward Christ.

  • We believe in expositional preaching, which means we are committed to consecutively preaching through books of the Bible, where the main point of the passage is typically the main point of the sermon.

  • We love to welcome kids of all ages in our main worship service. However, we also provide a safe, fun, and welcoming space during the worship hour where kids can learn about God through engaging curriculum. We focus on teaching them biblical truths in a meaningful way, and our dedicated volunteers are equipped with the tools and support needed to guide your child in their spiritual development.

  • We’d love to get to know you! Feel free to hang out after the service to get to know other people. You can also fill out a guest card to help us answer any questions you may have, and to let us know ways we can pray and encourage you.

Beliefs

Our Mission

LBC exists to make disciples who glorify Christ and share Him with others.

Our Values

Faithfully Proclaiming God’s Word

We believe God gives life through His Word. Therefore, we are committed to preaching through consecutive books of the Bible while pointing people to Christ from all of Scripture.

Living Daily Word-centered Worship

We believe God uses His Word to see His people grow and mature. So, we are committed to worshiping Him together by praying the Bible, reading the Bible, singing the Bible, and preaching the Bible.

Intentionally Making Disciples of All Nations

We believe Jesus’ last words in Matthew 28:18-20 have been given to the church. Therefore, we prioritize helping one another follow Christ as we live out His Great Commission together.

Practicing Meaningful Church Membership

We believe it is vital for Christians to belong to a local church. So, we are committed to sacrificially loving, discipling, encouraging, praying and caring for each other.

Seeking and Submitting to God Continuously in Prayer

We believe God’s Word repeatedly calls Christians to a life dependent on God through prayer. Therefore, we strive (imperfectly) to humbly come before Him with praise, thanksgiving, requests, intercession, and wisdom.

Confession of Faith

From the time of the Apostles to today, Christians have laid out their beliefs in brief, definitive statements. Our Confession of Faith summarizes essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and helps to guard the church from error.

Church Covenant

God’s Word not only speaks to what we as Christians believe, it also lays out several ways we are to live out our beliefs with one another. Our Church Covenant is a series of commitments that our members make to one another. It affirms what we believe and commit to do for each other with God’s help as members of London Baptist Church.
